Soundgarden Reunion Planned for 2010 – ABC News
NEW YORK (Billboard) – Soundgarden will reunite for concerts in 2010, according to a Twitter message from frontman Chris Cornell which directs fans to a new Web site, Soundgardenworld.com.
The Seattle rock quartet — Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron — has not played live since splitting up in the spring of 1997.
Sources tell Billboard the group is weighing offers from several major U.S. and international festivals, but a tour routing is still a work in progress, due to Cameron’s prior commitments to play with Pearl Jam in the spring and summer.
Cameron has been Pearl Jam’s permanent drummer since 1998; that group recently announced its first North American date of 2010 as part of the second weekend of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (April 29-May 2), and will also play 10 European shows from June 22 in Dublin through July 10 in Oeiras, Portugal.
Retracing Jack Kerouac’s rocky road – latimes.com

There are those who return to Jack Kerouac just to get lost in the ride. Not across lonesome America but in the serpentine locomotion of his prose.
It’s the music of the page: long blasts of blue-streak narrative that don’t yield to periods, semicolons, commas; mile-long sentences that twist onto side-road tangents before — in their best moments — leading to a clear, untrammeled epiphany.
Kerouac’s ear was tuned to a different set of rules: that herky-jerk flow, the misplaced modifier mining something different, something else. The “not writing” but “typing” for which Truman Capote famously wrist-rapped Kerouac had its own incantatory power. His switchback sentences, when read aloud, required a horn player’s circular breathing prowess: the correct embouchure. Read the source….

Trash060609 Experimental Performance
Elena and group’s school performance is a ‘Happening’. The family enjoyed the event along with 7 other performances at the College. This was followed by having some killer tacos in downtown Olympia. A nice evening.
Ocean Fix
As a child, we did not have Cable HDTV’s, Super Malls or iPhones so for entertainment, we hang out the beach. I remember peeling off sunburned skin. A lot of mangos, pineapples and coconut drinks. I still go to beach for my ocean fix. The sound of the waves are hypnotic and calms my spirits. My amateur video was taken during the fall of 2007 at Ocean Shores, Washington. It’s a 2 hour drive from Seattle on Highway 101 next to Aberdeen.
Seattle Natives 08
To kill time during extremely booooring meetings is to doodle on my Palm. I save, and later import to PS to work on layers later. I posted these images of Larry H, Flora and the AF kid to PhotoBucket. It is a part of a set of Palm doodles called “Seattle Natives”. Most of the drawings are based on real people. A slideshow of Seattle Natives features “IOD” as background music and is by Greg Tripi also from PhotoBucket. Check it out….the stuff is old but still fun!
My SeattlePix
“Not Taken” by Phil Rodriguez is one of SeattlePI’s 2007 Photo of the Year selection out of 5000 entries. The picture was taken on a Poulsbo bound ferry ride. Check out my other SeattlePI MyPix selections.
Tropical Spain
This video is a slideshow of some of the best images I could gather to capture the landscape and imagery of Philippine Islands. These are some of the best photos taken by some cool photographers. I posted this on YouTube in 2006. The musical credits: Spain by Chick Corea.
