Elena and group’s school performance is a ‘Happening’. The family enjoyed the event along with 7 other performances at the College. This was followed by having some killer tacos in downtown Olympia. A nice evening.

As a child, we did not have cable tv, malls or ipods so for entertainment, we hang out by the beach. I remember peeling off sunburned skin all the time. A lot of mangoes, pineapples and coconut. I still go to beach for my ocean fix. The sound of the waves is hypnotic. The video was taken during the fall of 2007 at Ocean Shores, Washington. It’s a 2 hour drive from Seattle on Highway 101 next to Aberdeen.
One way I kill time during extremely boring meetings is to doodle on my Palm Pilot. I save and later import to PS to work on layers later. I posted these images of Larry H, Flora and the AF kid to PhotoBucket. It is a part of a set of Palm Pilot drawings called “Seattle Natives”. Most of the drawings are based on real people. A slideshow of Seattle Natives features “IOD” as background music and is by Greg Tripi also from PhotoBucket. Check it out!
“Not Taken” by Phil Rodriguez is one of SeattlePI’s 2007 Photo of the Year selection out of 5000 entries. The picture was taken on a Poulsbo bound ferry ride. Check out my other SeattlePI MyPix selections.
This video is a slideshow of some of the best images I could gather to capture the landscape and imagery of Philippine Islands. These are some of the best photos taken by some cool photographers. I posted this on YouTube in 2006. The musical credits: Spain by Chick Corea.

The kids during the early 90’s when we lived in the Central District of Seattle. I left the painting (shown above) in a pile of stuff i decided to leave or give away. It’s a large pastel painting on canvas. We were leaving our 6 bedroom rented home into a 2 bedroom tiny apartment. No room for a studio. The kids are all grown and we moved into a slightly larger home. I really miss having a studio in the city.
Seattle snow in January 2007. This clip was videotaped in the Kirkland/Kenmore/Woodinville area. Come ride with me around my little town. Musical credits: Gary Burton and Thievery Corporation.
Welcome to Colors and Sounds. This blog is a collection of images, sounds and a lot more from my websites. My name is Phil Rodriguez and I am an artist from Kirkland, Washington. A lot of these images are my originals and posted in my other sites. Image above is a color pencil abstract image on paper. The original size is 48 inches by 48 inches. My wish is to continue to share my work in a cohesive presentation with the help of new and smart technologies . Please participate when feeling inspired!
